BSI to host business continuity events

The British Standards Institute (BSI) is to host a series of events aimed at increasing the awareness of the importance of business continuity planning.

Following the launch of BS 25999, a standard offering guidance on business continuity and how best to implement it, the BSI is holding a number talks across Europe and the Middle East aimed at highlighting the advantages of the system.

According to the BSI, anyone attending one of the seminars will be able to identify their organisation's current business continuity readiness and will be able to appreciate how the standard can help firms improve their bottom line.

The events, which are free to attend, will take place in Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia, Netherlands and a number of other countries.

BS 25999is designed to help businesses continue to operate during challenging and unexpected circumstances and should assist firms looking to develop a business continuity plan.
